This torsion spring preloads the moldboard's trip-edge mechanism so the section can kick back on impact and then snap back into working position automatically.

Benefits:

Protects the cutting edge, moldboard, and carrier machine from damage when the plow strikes a hidden obstacle, without the operator needing to stop or adjust anything.
